Dental braces—We administer braces to patients of all ages to correct underbites, overbites, malocclusion, crooked teeth, crowding, and more. Various orthodontic treatment options are available, from traditional metal braces to clear braces. We will work with you to make sure you receive the option that matches your personal needs.

Implants—When patients are missing teeth or wear poor-fitting dentures, dental implants may be recommended. An implant is a screw-like component (essentially an artificial tooth root) surgically embedded into the jaw bone and then topped with a replacement tooth (crown) or teeth (bridge or denture). Dental implants can last a lifetime when good oral health is maintained.

Root canal therapy— We may recommend a root canal when the nerve of a tooth has been severely damaged and the tooth cannot be restored. During this procedure, all infected tissue is removed from the affected tooth, and the interior chambers are filled with a rubber-like dental material. This saves the tooth and prevents infection from spreading. Oftentimes, a crown is applied seal and strengthen the tooth.

Multiple tooth extraction—A serious injury or extensive, unchecked tooth decay can damage teeth to the point that they must be removed. In other cases, extraction is necessary prior to orthodontic treatment or wearing a denture. Wisdom teeth, called third molars, may also require extraction if they become impacted or cause pain. If you need one or many teeth removed, our dentists will use contemporary modalities and medication to ensure your comfort.

Dental hygiene—One of the most effective ways to prevent tooth decay and gum disease is by having a good dental care routine at home. This includes properly brushing your teeth at least twice a day, ideally in the morning and again before going to bed, as well as flossing daily. In addition, we encourage patients to come in regularly for checkups and dental hygiene visits. These involve an oral examination by the dentist and a thorough cleaning of the gums and teeth by a dental hygienist.

Sleep dentistry— Sedation, or sleep dentistry, is often recommended for patients who feel extremely anxious about going to the dentist or are unable to become (and stay) numb with an anesthetic. People who have trouble sitting in a dental chair for extended periods of time (which may be required for an extensive procedure) or suffer from a sensitive gag reflex may also benefit from sleep dentistry.

Whether you have dental insurance or not, we charge appropriate, reasonable, and fair prices for the quality of care we provide. Furthermore, our prices are comparable to the suggested fee guide supplied by Ontario’s Dental Association (ODA).

Only well-screened, qualified doctors and hygienists make it through to ensure a comfortable and joyful experience for you. We know that visiting a dentist is not something many of us look forward to so it is paramount that you’re in the gentle and capable hands of a caring and experienced professional, and we’ve gone to lengths to ensure that here.

We treat people, not just teeth. We’re more interested in you, the one behind the smile. The last thing any of us want to deal with is a rude, edgy, or poorly trained receptionist or office manager. Empathy is one of our core values, and we go to extreme measures to ensure that it’s palpable in every interaction we have with you, our beloved patients.

We take all private dental insurance plans like Manulife, Sun Life, Great-West Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield Canada and more. If you’re not sure, call us and ask. We believe that no patient should be left to worry or be concerned with whether we accept their insurance or not, but to make it easy for you, and for your added convenience, we decided to take them all.

Whether it’s ODSP for disability support, Ontario Works for welfare, Healthy Smiles Ontario for kids 17 and under, or IFHP for refugees, we take them all. If it’s made in Canada, we accept it. In a nutshell, we dislike disappointing patients or turning them away.

We are located just off of main street, on 2nd Avenue East, right between Shorty's Bar and Grill, and the post office. We are located behind DC Taylors, and in the same building as Life Labs.

If you are coming from the East side of town, we are at the bottom of the 10th Street East Hill. At the bottom of the hill, with the large church and baseball diamond on the right, you will turn left on to 4th Street East. This will take you to the back parking lot of the Medical Professional Building that we are located in. For best parking, continue to the front of the building, where you will see our signs.

If you are coming from the West side of town, continue down the 10th Street East Hill, until you see a Circle K on your left, and Shorty's Bar and Grill in front of you. Turn right at this corner. You will see the Medical Professional Building on your left. Turn left into this parking lot, and you have arrived!

If you are coming from the East side of town, you will follow highway 26, until you reach Highway 6. At this intersection, you will also see a Tim Hortons, and gas station. Please turn right onto highway 6, also known as 10th Street East. At the bottom of the hill, turn left onto 3rd Street East. You will see the Medical Professional Building on your left and a large parking lot. Please turn left into the parking lot. You should see our signs on the first floor of the medical building. If you are coming from the West side of town, follow Highway 21 until it turns into Highway 6. You will make your way down a large hill. Continue down this hill until you see 3rd Avenue East and a Circle K on your left. Please turn right onto 3rd Avenue East. Do you accept welfare insurance?

Yes, most of our offices except welfare or OW insurance with the exception of a few. Please call your location of interest to verify.

Do you bill directly to insurance companies?

With the exception of our locations in Toronto (The Tooth Corner on Edward Street) and Owen Sound, we do bill directly to the insurance company.

When should I start bringing my child to the dentist? 

We recommend bringing your children to the dentist as early as possible. Even if they are not having dental work done, they can have a ride in the chair. This will help them get used to the atmosphere and remember "the dentist" as a fun experience. The goal is that they will be relaxed and comfortable when the time comes for them to undergo treatment.

Yes, we are always accepting new patients!

Do you offer sedation in the office?

Yes, many of our offices offer sleep dentistry, which often helps those with anxiety or fear of the dentist. If you require sleep dentistry, please call your location of interest to double check that it's available there.
