Dental Implants

When it comes to teeth replacement, dental implants currently boast the highest success rate available today. These small titanium posts are designed to replace the roots of missing teeth within the jawbone. This helps to preserve the existing bone structure and prevent further bone degradation in the future. Implants are more resilient and longer-lasting than traditional teeth replacement options. In fact, they can last a lifetime with proper care. We are proud to offer this reliable treatment option at The Tooth Corner on Edward St. in Toronto.

Root Canal Therapy

Whenever oral bacteria breach the innermost layer of a tooth, root canal therapy will be required to save the tooth from extraction. Infection can enter the pulp chamber due to deep decay or a large fracture. Root canal therapy removes the internal living tissues, including the nerves and the blood vessels. This eliminates the bacteria at its source and allows for healing. If left untreated, an infected tooth can compromise the health of the adjacent teeth. With root canal therapy, this process is halted.

Dental Braces

Crooked, crowded, or misaligned teeth can be difficult to clean. This can increase the risk for tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health issues. Orthodontic treatment can straighten the teeth and enhance the aesthetics, function, and health of your smile. At The Tooth Corner, we offer several different orthodontic treatment options, including traditional metal braces and Invisalign®.

Multiple Tooth Extraction

Do you have extensive decay or several damaged teeth? Even though we prefer to save natural teeth when feasible, sometimes extractions are necessary. Today’s advanced techniques allow our doctors to perform the most conservative treatment possible. As a result, post-operative discomfort is minimized. Tooth extractions can eliminate oral bacteria and significantly reduce the risk for more serious health-related issues in the future.

Dental Hygiene

At our practice, we believe preventative care is key. Professional dental care is crucial for long-term oral health. However, your at-home hygiene routine is just as important. To keep your teeth and gums healthy between visits, you should brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss once daily. During your regular teeth cleaning appointment, your hygienist will also help you develop a personalized routine to improve the health of your smile.

Sleep Dentistry

Millions of patients worldwide suffer from dental anxiety. This common condition can be debilitating. In fact, some individuals avoid dental visits altogether. As you can imagine, this can lead to a host of serious oral health issues. Fortunately, we offer sedation dentistry, which induces a state of relaxation and alleviates fears and worries for a more pleasant experience.

Visiting our dentist shouldn’t break the bank. However, most of us don’t understand the true value of oral health, and it’s upkeep. Most of us are quick to spend thousands of dollars on a vacation that may last a few days or a few weeks, yet are very hesitant to spend money when it comes to the one curve that lasts a lifetime and sets everything straight, our smile. Whether you have dental insurance or not, we charge appropriate, reasonable, and fair prices for the quality of care we provide. Furthermore, our prices are comparable to the suggested fee guide supplied by Ontario’s Dental Association (ODA).

Only well-screened, qualified doctors and hygienists make it through to ensure a comfortable and joyful experience for you. We know that visiting a dentist is not something many of us look forward to so it is paramount that you’re in the gentle and capable hands of a caring and experienced professional, and we’ve gone to lengths to ensure that here.

We treat people, not just teeth. We’re more interested in you, the one behind the smile. The last thing any of us want to deal with is a rude, edgy, or poorly trained receptionist or office manager. Empathy is one of our core values, and we go to extreme measures to ensure that it’s palpable in every interaction we have with you, our beloved patients.

We take all private dental insurance plans like Manulife, Sun Life, Great-West Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield Canada and more. If you’re not sure, call us and ask. We believe that no patient should be left to worry or be concerned with whether we accept their insurance or not, but to make it easy for you, and for your added convenience, we decided to take them all.

Whether it’s ODSP for disability support, Ontario Works for welfare, Healthy Smiles Ontario for kids 17 and under, or IFHP for refugees, we take them all. If it’s made in Canada, we accept it. In a nutshell, we dislike disappointing patients or turning them away.

Dental Braces

Braces can correct open bites, over bite, under bites, and cross bites. They can also correct cosmetic issues unrelated to occlusion, such as slightly overlapped, gapped, or twisted teeth. Children as young as seven years old can begin interceptive orthodontics with braces and other appliances, such as expanders and spacers. Children sometimes benefit from phased orthodontic treatment, in which braces are worn two or more times during adolescence and young adult years. Adults can also wear braces.... Read More »

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

If you experience pain when your wisdom teeth start to come in, one of the unerupted third molars could be impacted or infected. Sometimes patients want to proactively have the large teeth removed, before they cause pain. Wisdom teeth can be hard to clean, due to their location in the very back of the mouth. If yours erupt and develop normally, there’s a risk that they could create problems in the future if improper brushing and flossing allows decay to develop. However, some people retain all their wisdom teeth throughout life, without incident. ... Read More »

This will help them get used to the atmosphere and remember "the dentist" as a fun experience. The goal is that they will be relaxed and comfortable when the time comes for them to undergo treatment.
